The Driving Standards Agency (D.S.A.) is a government organisation that regulates the driving instruction industry, and issues instructors with either a pink or green badge which must be displayed in the front windscreen of a car, if they are either a fully qualified Instructor (green) or a trainee instructor (pink). 

 

While a trainee may not be fully qualified they are fully trained and are simply waiting to take their final exam to gain full qualification.

 

If money is being paid for a driving lesson driving Instructors must display their DSA badge in the front windscreen of the car in which instruction is being given.
